SaunaLife Cube Series sauna kits redefine the outdoor home sauna with a bold, glass-forward structure that makes a striking statement in any backyard. Each model is built from Thermo-Spruce, a thermally modified Nordic spruce, with the same full-glass front and shingled roof carried across the entire lineup, and every kit is designed by SaunaLife and handcrafted in Northern Europe.

Why Choose the Cube Series

The Cube Series was designed to look as good as it performs. An 8mm bronze-tinted tempered glass front wall fills the cabin with natural light while keeping daytime privacy, and a dotless white LED lighting system, controlled by a Wi-Fi app or wireless remote, adds an evening glow along the wood grain rather than a single overhead bulb. Every kit ships as precut, panelized components with a montage kit and instructions, and Norse Steam is an authorized SaunaLife dealer, so every model includes the full manufacturer warranty.

From a compact two-person cube to a full three-room sauna suite, the five Cube Series models scale up in both capacity and footprint without changing the core materials.

The CL3G is the lightest and most compact model in the series. The CL4G is the most commonly recommended model for couples who host occasionally. The CL5G adds an L-shaped two-tier bench for genuine four-person capacity. The CL7G is the tallest single-room cube in the lineup, at just over 7 feet of ceiling height. The CL12GCP is structurally different from the other four: rather than a single room, it’s a three-room sauna suite with a covered porch and a separate 87.5” x 43.9” dressing room in addition to the sauna hall listed above.

If a freestanding cube isn’t quite the right fit, our broader outdoor sauna lineup includes other SaunaLife formats, including SaunaLife barrel saunas for a more traditional rounded silhouette and SaunaLife wood-burning hot tubs for a fire-heated alternative to an electric cabin.

Construction and Interior Details

Every Cube Series model shares the same core materials and finishes, which is part of why the lineup feels consistent whether you choose the smallest or largest configuration.

Thermo-Spruce Exterior and Thermo-Aspen Interior

The exterior is built from full-length Thermo-Spruce staves, 1.7 inches thick, heat-treated rather than chemically treated. That thermal modification changes the wood at a cellular level, making it dimensionally stable through freeze-thaw cycles, splinter-resistant, naturally resistant to decay and pests, and darker in color, with minimal ongoing maintenance. Inside, benches and backrests are made from knotless, satin-smooth Thermo-Aspen, chosen specifically because it stays cool to the touch even at full sauna temperature, with contoured seating and arched backrests throughout the lineup.

Glass Front and LED Lighting

The front wall and door use 8mm bronze-tinted tempered glass, giving daytime privacy from outside while preserving the view from inside. SaunaLife’s dotless white LED system handles the lighting: low-voltage 24V DC operation, IP67-rated water- and heat-rated connections, a 30-foot light cable, and control from either a Wi-Fi app or the included wireless remote. The system is expandable to control up to four light sources if you want to add more later.

Choosing a Sauna Heater

Every SaunaLife Cube Series kit ships without a heater, so you can choose the output and control style that fits how you plan to bathe.

Heater Sizing by Model

Heater needs scale directly with interior volume, and all models require a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician.

  • CL3G: 4.5 to 6 kW electric sauna heater
  • CL4G: 6 to 8 kW electric sauna heater
  • CL5G: 8 to 9 kW electric sauna heater
  • CL7G: 9 to 10.5 kW electric sauna heater
  • CL12GCP: 10.5 kW class heater for the sauna hall (the dressing room itself stays unheated and ambient)

Heater systems ordered alongside the sauna often ship free on top of the room’s crate.

FAQs

What sizes does the SaunaLife Cube Series come in?

The lineup spans five configurations: CL3G (2-person), CL4G (3-person), CL5G (4-person), CL7G (6-person), and CL12GCP (8-person), with the CL12GCP built as a three-room sauna suite rather than a single cube.

What is the Cube Series built from?

The exterior is Thermo-Spruce, a thermally modified Nordic spruce chosen for its resistance to moisture, decay, and pests, along with splinter resistance and low maintenance. Interior benches and backrests use Thermo-Aspen, selected for staying cool to the touch during long sauna sessions.

What makes the full glass front wall practical?

The 8mm bronze-tinted tempered glass front wall brings natural light into the sauna space while keeping the interior private from outside during the day. It also gives the cube sauna a modern profile that stands out in any outdoor setting.

Does the Cube Series include lighting?

Yes. Every model includes SaunaLife’s dotless white LED lighting system, controlled by a Wi-Fi app or wireless remote, with low-voltage 24V DC operation and IP67-rated connections for safe use in a hot, humid environment.

Does the Cube Series work with a sauna heater?

The heater is sold separately on every model. Recommended output ranges from 4.5 to 6 kW for the CL3G up to a 10.5 kW class heater for the CL12GCP’s sauna hall, and all models require a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician.

How is a Cube Series sauna delivered?

The CL3G, CL4G, CL5G, and CL7G ship by curbside freight for a flat $950 fee to the U.S. or $1,250 to Canada. The CL12GCP ships by flatbed truck at $1,990 to the U.S. or $2,490 to Canada, and requires forklift or crane offloading rather than a standard curbside drop.

Is the Cube Series suitable for year-round outdoor installation?

Yes. Thermo-Spruce construction, the shingled roof with drip rails, and tempered glass are all specified for four-season outdoor exposure, and many owners run these saunas through the winter without issue.
