The B means the SaunaLife CL4GB includes two containers of black exterior paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint stretches and shrinks with the weather to prevent cracking, but it will need a fresh coat over the years to stay black.
No, a heater is not included. The four electric heater packages on this page range from 6 to 8 kW and each includes controls and stones. Pick one when you order or buy one later, choosing a higher kW option for a colder climate.
Your setup depends on the heater you choose, but every package on this page needs a licensed electrician to hardwire its own dedicated 240 volt circuit and determine breaker and wire sizing from the heater manual. These heaters cannot plug in, share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit, or use extension cords. Outdoor runs use buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect, and the LED power unit mounts outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
Yes, if your deck is built to carry the weight, or use a firm, flat, level concrete slab or compacted gravel topped with pavers. Check your deck's load capacity using the 1,415 pound shipping weight in the Specifications tab as a starting point. Avoid bare grass or soil, which holds moisture against the wood, and keep the base level so the staves line up and the door latches.
Plan on a full weekend for a first build, based on owner reports. SaunaLife rates its cube kits for two people, and hanging the door is the step to take slowly. The electrician's visit is a separate day.
Yes, the glass front loses a little more heat in deep cold, though the sauna is built for year round outdoor use. In freezing weather, heating often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes. Keep the vents clear.
Three people is the maximum seated capacity on the single bench, which measures 76 inches wide by 17.7 inches deep. Plan on one or two people if you want room to stretch out or lie down.
Thermo spruce is Nordic spruce treated in a kiln with heat and steam so it absorbs less moisture and moves less with the weather. It has a mild toasted smell and no resin, rather than cedar's strong aroma. Bare wood weathers to a silver gray, but this model uses black paint as its exterior finish.

Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

After a lot of research I made a decision to go with a Sauna from Golden Designs. It has only been in place for a week but so far two thumbs up. We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. The unit is my third one (as I move from one home to another). If your schedule is one that you cant wait for the heater to warm up. .. this is the one to have; sueprior quality.
