The B means the SaunaLife E7WB comes with two containers of black exterior sauna paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need a fresh coat over the years to stay black.
No, a heater is not included. The Select Heater add on on this page offers six electric packages from 6 to 9 kW, each with controls and stones, so you can choose one when ordering or buy one later. Choose a higher kW option from the list for a colder climate.
Your setup depends on your property and heater choice, but every package needs its own dedicated 240 volt circuit, hardwired by a licensed electrician using the heater manual to size the breaker and wire. These heaters cannot plug in, use extension cords, or share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit. Have your electrician plan buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect for outdoor runs, plus a weatherproof box you provide for the LED power unit outside the hot room.
Your feet will be in cooler air than your shoulders because the barrel has one bench level. Its 77.2 inch interior diameter and intake and exhaust vents help address that temperature difference. A slightly larger heater package can reduce the gap further.
The included black shingle roof and drip edge rail protect against rain seeping through the stave seams. Two floor drains let water escape. Small gaps between staves in dry weather close when the room heats.
Yes, retighten the stainless steel bands after the first few weeks and check them each season. Hairline gaps are normal as the staves shrink in dry or cold air and swell when heated, so do not caulk them. Two spare staves come in the kit.
The right base depends on your property: use firm, flat, level compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a deck built to carry the weight. Avoid bare grass or soil because they hold moisture against the wood, and an uneven base can leave staves misaligned and the door unable to latch.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

After a lot of research I made a decision to go with a Sauna from Golden Designs. It has only been in place for a week but so far two thumbs up. We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.

The unit is my third one (as I move from one home to another). If your schedule is one that you cant wait for the heater to warm up. .. this is the one to have; sueprior quality. I was in a rush and needed the unit right away. Found the best price on Norse Steam. Never heard about this website before and during my vetting process, chatted with Maya.
