The B means the SaunaLife E8B comes with two containers of PROSAUNAS SaunaShield black exterior paint added to the base kit, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and paint only the outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need a fresh coat over the years to stay black.
No, a heater is not included. The heater selector on this page offers five electric packages from 8 to 10.5 kW, each with controls and stones, which you can choose when ordering or buy later. For a colder climate, choose a higher kW option from the list.
Your installation depends on your property and heater choice, but every package needs its own dedicated 240 volt circuit hardwired by a licensed electrician. Have your electrician follow the heater manual for breaker and wire sizing, with buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect for outdoor runs, and no plug-in connection, extension cord, or shared dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit. The LED power unit mounts outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
Your feet will be in cooler air than your shoulders because this barrel has one bench level. Its 77.2 inch interior diameter and intake and exhaust vents help address that temperature difference. A slightly larger heater package from this page can narrow the gap further.
The included black shingle roof and drip edge rail protect against rain seeping through the stave seams. Two floor drains let water escape, and small gaps that appear between staves in dry weather close when the room heats.
Yes, retighten the stainless steel bands after the first few weeks and check them each season. Hairline gaps are normal as the staves shrink in dry or cold air and swell back when heated, so do not caulk them. Two spare staves come in the kit.
The right base depends on your property: use compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a deck built to carry the weight. It must be firm, flat, and level, since an uneven base can keep the staves from lining up and the door from latching. Avoid bare grass or soil, which holds moisture against the wood, and use the weight information in the Specifications tab when planning support.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

After a lot of research I made a decision to go with a Sauna from Golden Designs. It has only been in place for a week but so far two thumbs up. Maya at Norse Steam was amazing and extremely responsive from start to finish, which made the experience even better. The unit arrived on a pallet and in great shape. We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.

I was in a rush and needed the unit right away. Found the best price on Norse Steam. Never heard about this website before and during my vetting process, chatted with Maya.
