SaunaLife G2B: the lowest priced SaunaLife cabin kit
The SaunaLife G2B is a four person outdoor sauna cabin kit. It is SaunaLife’s lowest priced cabin, with plain spruce beams, a slanted roof, and enough room for a wood stove. The B version includes black exterior paint that you brush on yourself. The cabin measures 82.5 by 75.2 inches with the roof overhang included. Its walls use interlocking Nordic spruce beams, and the kit has a full floor and self adhesive roofing. Inside, knot free aspen benches and an aspen backrest give you somewhere to settle in. A clear tempered glass door lets daylight into the room.
A white LED light bar comes with a Wi-Fi app and handheld remote. The heater is sold separately, so choose one of the 4 electric heater packages on the page, from 6 to 8 kW, each with its control and stones. You can also add a Kolo bucket and ladle in black or white, wood care products, a thermometer, or a humidity gauge. Prefer an arched roof? See the SaunaLife G3B outdoor sauna pod. The SaunaLife G2B ships from Norse Steam by flat rate freight with No Sales Tax (except WY) and our 100% price match guarantee.

FAQ
What does the B in the model name mean, and do I have to paint it myself?
B means the SaunaLife G2B comes with three 2.7 liter containers of black exterior paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need fresh coats over the years to stay black.
Does this sauna come with a heater?
No, a heater is not included. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers four electric packages from 6 to 8 kW, each with controls and stones, which you can order with the cabin or buy later. Choose a higher kW option from the list for a colder climate.
What electrical work does it need?
Your setup depends on your property and heater choice, but every electric package needs its own dedicated 240 volt circuit, hardwired by a licensed electrician using the heater manual to size the breaker and wire. These heaters cannot plug in, share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit, or use extension cords. Have your electrician plan buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect for outdoor runs, plus a weatherproof box you provide for the LED power unit outside the hot room.
What do I put under it? Can it sit on grass or on my deck?
No to bare grass or soil, and a deck works only if it is built to carry the weight. Depending on your property, use a firm, flat, level base of compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a suitable deck, with shipping weight listed in the Specifications tab. Soil holds moisture against the wood, and an uneven base can leave beams misaligned and the door unable to latch.
How long does it take to assemble, and how many people do I need?
Two people need about two days, though first-time builders often take longer. The pieces are numbered, and the instructions are on the Manual tab. Plan the electrician's visit for a separate day.
Can it stay outside all winter?
Yes, it is built for year-round outdoor use. In freezing weather, heating often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes. Keep the vents clear.
How is it delivered?
It arrives by freight truck on a wooden pallet, with curbside delivery by appointment. The driver lowers the pallet to the ground, so have two or three people ready to carry the pieces to your assembly spot. Inspect the crate before signing and note any damage on the receipt.
What is thermo spruce, and how do I look after the outside?
Thermo spruce is spruce heat treated in a kiln with steam to absorb less moisture and move less with the weather, but the SaunaLife G2B uses plain Nordic spruce that is not heat treated. Its exterior finish is the black paint supplied in the box. Apply it after assembly following the paint manual on the Manual tab, and refresh it over the years to keep the outside black.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval?
It depends on your local rules, and the dedicated 240 volt circuit almost always needs an electrical permit. Many towns exempt small accessory buildings from building permits but still require setbacks, and your HOA may have its own rules. Check with your local permitting office and HOA, if applicable, before ordering.
