It arrives on a flatbed truck, and you need a forklift or crane to unload it. The B version includes black exterior paint that you brush on yourself. At 159.4 inches wide, it needs a broad spot in the yard. SaunaLife designed it, and it is made by hand in Northern Europe. The exterior uses heat treated spruce.
Inside, L shaped benches give you space to sit, and a bronze tinted glass door separates the rooms. The porch comes with benches and tables. B means the SaunaLife G11B is the base kit with three containers of PROSAUNAS SaunaShield black exterior paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need a fresh coat over the years to stay black.
No, a heater is not included. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers three electric packages, all 9 kW, each with controls and stones. Choose one when you order or buy one later.
Your property's wiring needs a licensed electrician's assessment, and every heater package on this page requires its own dedicated, hardwired 240 volt circuit. Your electrician must follow the chosen heater's manual for breaker and wire sizing, with buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect for outdoor runs. These heaters cannot plug into an outlet, use an extension cord, or share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit.
No to bare grass or soil, and a deck is suitable only if it is built to carry the weight at your property. Use a firm, flat, level base such as compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a suitable deck, and use the 3,196 pound shipping weight in the Specifications tab as a starting point. Grass and soil hold moisture against the wood, while an uneven base can keep the staves from lining up and the door from latching.
Two people and about two days is SaunaLife's assembly estimate for its cabin kits. The pieces are numbered, and the instructions are on the Manual tab. First-time builders often take longer, and the electrician's visit takes a separate day.
Yes, it is built for year-round outdoor use. In freezing weather, heating often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes. Keep the vents clear.
It arrives by flatbed truck at a scheduled appointment. You must arrange a forklift or crane to unload it, as the driver does not unload it. Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage on the receipt.
Thermo spruce is Nordic spruce treated in a kiln with heat and steam so it absorbs less moisture, moves less with the weather, and can last up to twice as long as cedar outdoors. It has no resin and a mild toasted smell, and bare wood turns silver gray without that color change affecting its function. On this model, black paint is the exterior finish, so refresh it over the years to keep the outside black.
It depends on your local rules and HOA, so check before ordering. The dedicated 240 volt circuit almost always needs an electrical permit, and towns may still require setbacks even when a small accessory building is exempt from a building permit. Your HOA may also require approval.

Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

After a lot of research I made a decision to go with a Sauna from Golden Designs. It has only been in place for a week but so far two thumbs up. Maya at Norse Steam was amazing and extremely responsive from start to finish, which made the experience even better. The unit arrived on a pallet and in great shape. We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.

I was in a rush and needed the unit right away. Found the best price on Norse Steam. Never heard about this website before and during my vetting process, chatted with Maya.
