The SaunaLife Model G4 is the traditionalist’s pick in the lineup — and the most affordable way to seat six in a SaunaLife outdoor sauna. Instead of the thermally darkened wood and bronze glass of the Cube and Garden series, the G4 is built from classic blonde Nordic Spruce with clear tempered glass, giving it the bright, honest look of a Scandinavian lakeside sauna. If you picture a traditional sauna when you close your eyes, this is that building.

Classic Spruce, Clear Glass, Real Benches

The walls are premium 1.75-inch Nordic Spruce beams in interlocking construction that lets the wood expand and contract naturally while keeping an exacting fit. The full front wall is clear 5/16-inch tempered glass, matched by a full-height side window, so the interior stays connected to the yard — a very different feeling from the tinted privacy glass on the bronze-glass models. Benches are solid grade-A knotless Aspen with 1.1-inch-thick tops, dual-level seating, an upper bench skirt to conceal the under-bench area, and a matching knotless Aspen backrest.

A Layout You Can Flip

The G4’s most practical trick: the door, the front glass elements, and the side window are all reversible. That means you orient the entry and the view to suit your yard — window toward the trees, door toward the house path — instead of designing your yard around the sauna. A 16.5-inch porch (modifiable) gives you a covered landing at the entry, and the aluminum door handle locks with keys, which matters around pools and kids.

Room for Six

Inside, the G4 measures 78″ × 78″ with 85.2 inches of height at the peak — a genuinely large, square sauna room where six bathers spread across two seating levels without negotiating knees. The tall front gable (97″ exterior at the front) and wide 31.5-inch door make it feel open the moment you step in.

Heater Pairing

The G4 ships as a room kit with the sauna heater sold separately. For roughly 300 cubic feet of interior, plan on a 9–10.5 kW electric sauna heater on a dedicated 240V circuit — Harvia heaters are the classic pairing for a traditional room like this, and we can spec the full package with controls and stones. The included white LED light system (24V DC, IP67-rated, Wi-Fi app and remote control) covers lighting out of the box.

Delivery and Assembly

Freight is $950 flat-rate to the contiguous U.S. or $1,250 to Canada. Note the G4’s delivery difference: the customer handles off-loading, either by hand piece-by-piece or with a forklift — the crate is 103″ × 44″ × 40″ at 1,650 lbs, and it arrives wood-encased by scheduled appointment. Assembly follows SaunaLife’s DIY-engineered pattern: two people, about two days, interlocking beams, no cutting.

How is Nordic Spruce different from Thermo-Spruce?

Thermo-Spruce is heat-treated for a darker color and maximum dimensional stability; the G4’s untreated Nordic Spruce keeps the classic light look and costs less. Outdoors it benefits from an occasional protective exterior treatment, the traditional way spruce saunas have been kept for generations.

Why clear glass instead of bronze?

Brighter interior and a truer view out; the trade-off is less daytime privacy, which the reversible window lets you manage by orientation.

What does off-loading involve?

Either a forklift, or two to three people unloading the wood-encased components piece by piece at the curb. We brief every buyer before shipment.
