SaunaLife SaunaTrekker XL: a big portable sauna tent that opens without tools
The SaunaLife SaunaTrekker XL is a portable insulated sauna tent for up to six people. It needs about 13 by 14 feet of outdoor space, so check the spot you have in mind. The frame stays inside the tent and pops into place in minutes without tools. Six windows let daylight in. The waterproof outer fabric keeps rain out, while fiber fill insulation and a heat reflecting inner lining help hold warmth inside. It is made for outdoor use through the seasons. SaunaLife designed the tent, and it is made by hand in Northern Europe.
The box includes the tent, storm lines for securing it, a carry bag, and instructions. The heater is sold separately, so add the SaunaLife TITAN SL1 gas heater on the page. You can also add a folding bench, heat shield, stones, or a bucket and ladle. Need a smaller tent? See the SaunaLife SaunaTrekker portable sauna tent. The SaunaLife SaunaTrekker XL ships free from Norse Steam with No Sales Tax (except WY) and our 100% price match guarantee.

FAQ
How hot does a sauna tent get, and how fast?
With the TITAN SL1, the SaunaLife SaunaTrekker XL reaches sauna temperature in under 30 minutes. Three layers hold the heat: a waterproof 420D shell, a polyester fiber fill core, and a heat-reflecting 210D lining.
Which heater do I use? Can I put a wood stove in it?
Use the SaunaLife TITAN SL1 propane heater, available as an add on on this page. A wood stove is not suitable because the tent has no stove jack for a chimney. The TITAN SL1 is approved for tent use only with SaunaTrekker tents.
Is it safe? What about carbon monoxide?
Safe use requires keeping the vents open and following both manuals, including carbon monoxide precautions. The two upper vents and one lower vent are sized for the TITAN SL1, which shuts off its gas if tipped, on low oxygen, or after 60 minutes. Keep the heater 6 inches from the fabric, or 4 inches with the heat shield.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes gets the built-in frame popped up, with no tools required. Then stake the tent and tension the storm lines. Pack it in the carry bag only when dry.
Can I use it in winter, rain, or wind?
Yes, it is designed for four-season outdoor use with a waterproof coated 420D oxford polyester shell. In wind, stake the tent and tension the included storm lines. Dry it fully before packing to avoid mildew.
Where can I set it up?
Outdoors on level ground, a patio, or a deck. Maintain the TITAN SL1's required clearances from anything wooden, and use a fireproof mat under the heater on a wood deck. Do not use it indoors or in a garage.
How many people fit, and do I need the bench?
Up to six people fit seated on benches, or plan for four or five if you want room to stretch out or lie down. The folding cedar SaunaTrekker Bench is optional and available as an add on on this page. Its upper seat is 31.5 inches high to put you in the hottest air.
