The Mr. Steam CX Commercial Steam Series is a commercial-grade steam generator system designed for heavy-duty use in hotels, spas, health clubs, fitness centers, and other facilities where steam rooms operate for extended periods throughout the day. Unlike residential steam generators, the CX Series is built for continuous operation and includes commercial features such as stainless-steel construction, electronic water-level controls, automatic flushing to reduce mineral buildup, and advanced safety protections.

The CX lineup ranges from the CX0360 for steam rooms up to 360 cubic feet to the CX5000 for rooms as large as 5,000 cubic feet. Each system includes a commercial touchscreen controller that allows facility operators to schedule operating hours, monitor system performance, and manage multiple generators as a single integrated system. For larger steam rooms, multiple generator modules are linked together to provide the required steam output while maintaining reliability and efficiency.

MX-R Steam Generator

The Mr. Steam MX-R Series is the largest and most powerful residential steam generator line offered by Mr. Steam. Designed for large luxury steam showers and residential steam rooms, the MX-R models are available in 20kW, 24kW, and 30kW capacities, covering steam rooms from approximately 483 to 964 adjusted cubic feet. They feature the same premium Mr. Steam technology found in the standard residential line, including a stainless-steel tank, industrial-grade heating elements, SteamIQ microprocessor controls, self-diagnostics, and compatibility with all Mr. Steam controls and spa accessories.

Mr.Steam MX-R MAX Series Steam Shower Generator

The key distinction is that the MAX Series fills the gap between the MSSUPER residential generators and the commercial CX Series. While the MX-R is capable of handling very large home steam rooms and some light commercial/day-spa applications, Mr. Steam officially classifies the MAX Series as a residential-use generator. For facilities with continuous daily operation such as hotels, gyms, and commercial spas, the CX Series remains the recommended solution.

MS-R Steam Generator
